A Friday with Terri...

As I mentioned in the previous post, my friend Terri Gauthier, and I sometimes get together on a Friday to "play" as she puts it.
This week Terri sent me an e-mail with a piece she saw, and said, why don't we try something like this? I in turn surprised her with the small canvas project you see here (the image was from the "Mind Wide Open" challenge).
Inspired by the book of Kelly Rae Roberts, we played with brayers, paint, stamps, and ink! I love how they came out.
And here is the piece we did similar to the one that inspired Terri......... don't you just love it??? I do.
This picture does not do justice to it, but I did not have the stamina to get out all the "props" and since it was late the lighting was bad.
I really liked using my brayer to paint and layering it with paper and ink. Another fun afternoon! Thanks  again Terri!

Very nice, Deb! I want to make one. Can we? Can we? I love your little girl image.

Aaagh...You beat me to the post!

I just love that brayer technique! I have to get another one to keep it pristine and use the other one for techniques. I love the "mind wide open " image and what we did with it.

But in my Terrakittenish fashion I started being critical with the little girl in nest/canvas piece. Something is not setting right with me about it. I'll figure it out. But for now I will leave it alone.

Hey...we did a lot in the allotted time and I have to say I'm extremely proud of us.

You both should be very proud of yourselves, for producing such a beautiful piece of work
